Head of Parent Friendly Schools

I am the pawrent to three boisterous Labradors and worked in a school for 20 years, 10 of which were in leadership. I have an M.Ed. and completed four years of further research on the role of core values in effective learning. I was Chief Examiner for Pearson and have written multiple books to support schools.

Sarah is an experienced primary educator and school leader who now supports schools and trusts through Parentkind’s Parent-Friendly Schools accreditation. Drawing on extensive classroom and leadership experience, she helps schools build stronger parent partnerships, reduce friction, and manage complaints effectively.

Ruth brings extensive experience supporting schools, PTAs and families through Parentkind. With a background in relationship-building, parent engagement, training and community development, she helps schools strengthen partnerships, remove barriers to participation and build confident, sustainable connections with parents.

Jo is a passionate parent engagement leader with extensive experience building strong school–family partnerships. As Chair of a Parent Council and PTA, and founder of a thriving Facebook community of nearly 2,000 parent volunteers across Scotland, she has successfully increased participation, shared best practice and championed parent voice in education.
